A nice feel to the place. I went in recently for a lunchtime meal- fish and chips which was very hot and tasty. The place is obviously very popular as all the tables were in use. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beers were London Pride, HSB, ESB, and Seafarers. The HSB was fine.

This is now one of my pubs of choice in the area because it has a wonderful feel of a traditional country pub, blended with a friendly atmoshpere, good service and excellent food. I recently arranged a dinner for 12 friends at the pub and we were all very impressed. The choice of real aleas was good and they were all well kept. Having pre-ordered our meals, the food arrived on time, well presented, hot and delicious. It's always good to see a pub get its grub from local producers. We rounded off our meal with puddings from the blackboard, which were all very tasty. All in all, we had a great night, made especially so by Joe, Linda and the staff who ensured we had a memorable meal. One to recommend to others.

Visited 3 months ago. Food was ok but unremarkable for the price, ale was good. They were not keen to give me a table as i was on my own (working nearby) which didn't make me feel very welcome, but serving staff were friendly. Re visited Churchillian next day as this experience wasnt enough for me to return.
