| A nice feel to the place. I went in recently for a lunchtime meal- fish and chips which was very hot and tasty. The place is obviously very popular as all the tables were in use. | This is now one of my pubs of choice in the area because it has a wonderful feel of a traditional country pub, blended with a friendly atmoshpere, good service and excellent food. I recently arranged a dinner for 12 friends at the pub and we were all very impressed. The choice of real aleas was good and they were all well kept. Having pre-ordered our meals, the food arrived on time, well presented, hot and delicious. It's always good to see a pub get its grub from local producers. We rounded off our meal with puddings from the blackboard, which were all very tasty. | Visited 3 months ago. Food was ok but unremarkable for the price, ale was good. They were not keen to give me a table as i was on my own (working nearby) which didn't make me feel very welcome, but serving staff were friendly.
