I used to pop in for a pint of Hook Norton bitter which was generally Ok but never the best. However, things have changed for the Hooky has gone and has been replaced by 2 beers From Wickwar (BOB and Cotswold Way) plus Bath Gem. The BOB was very good as was the half of Gem. Very friendly ladies behind the bar and a very pleasant visit. Prices are high but it is an hotel bar. Food available as well as B&B etc. TV in the bar (no sound);newspapers;a quiz machine (with all the wronf answers on it !!!) and a mix of locals and tourists/day trippers. Worth a visit and I hope they keep up the range and quality of the beer (it is Cask Marque) mcroyal - 10 Jan 2012 21:06

Spent an enjoyable afternoon here watching England in the World Cup. Comfortable pub - staff could do with smiling a bit more, but that would be my only complaint. Food was decent and there is a pleasant outdoor seating area at the back of the pub. thebunster - 25 Jun 2010 19:33
Really, really excellent. Stayed for 1 night after seeing their 'late deals' bord out the fron. All the staff couldn't have been more helpful & friendly - clearly all were enjoying their jobs and proud of the place. Bar is comfortable, they had Hooky bitter & Gold on, both very well kept. The whole place seemed very well looked after and cared for. reynedd - 17 Aug 2009 23:41
Not bad, but sort of suffers from an identity crisis. Hotel, bar, restaurant, pub, who knows, a bit of all 3. Nice area with tables out the back and the beers whilst limited are decent. Hooky, Hooky Gold, Stowford Press etc. Dylarolla - 17 Aug 2009 12:50
