| I’ve often walked past this place and wondered what it was like but called in for the first time recently during an afternoon pub crawl. It is essentially a wine bar and restaurant but has a downstairs bar with a pub style seating area. It’s a really nice looking place with a bit of an olde worlde feel to it and the odd bit of sawdust strewn around the floors, a tradition of the Davy‘s chain I was told. There is an extensive wine list which includes their own label wines. But we were there for the beer, Davy’s Old Wallop, which is served in pewter tankards and also available in half gallon copper jugs.
