Apparently run by the same guy as The Artichoke, it's a bit bemusing how this one is nearly 'right' and the other one so 'wrong'. Food is good and reasonably priced, service is good and friendly to boot (they were quiet evenings admittedly), there's TVs for sport and doesn't appear to attract louts, the ales are good too. There looks like there is a nice garden for kids so will pop back with mine in time. matthewmarklukenojohn - 21 May 2010 13:04
Agree with Winwaloe. That new sign - BAD. The beer is good, the Adnams Broadside was excellent. The food was reasonably priced and not too bad at all, but gammon steak served in a dish? An interesting concept, and makes cutting a bit difficult. As to the service, what service? They had two girls running around serving all the tables, inside and out. We felt sorry for them. They were doing the best they could, but were overwhelmed. A pub to return to? Not by choice. Phantom_Pigeon - 21 Mar 2009 19:00
beer is good and the staff are friendly. Food also good and reasonable price. Shame about the 1980's cafe decor and the really awful new sign!! Winwaloe - 9 Jan 2009 18:16
The Coach & Horses is one of the prettiest and welcoming pubs in Croxley the staff and landlord are all effecient and courteous and go out of there way to help, the beer and wines are just great and the food is excellent. No problems are allowed to occur in there,as Dave, the Manager is always on the ball to oversee any circumstances that should arise. Its warm and cherry in winter and the effort gone into making beautiful for the summer is unbelievable, keep up the good work,we love you. eve29 - 21 Dec 2008 22:38
