user reviews of the William Harvey Inn, Willesborough

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Has vastly improved. Still only one real ale (London Pride) but is good quality. Manager and bar staff very friendly. I have been there several times and never encountered the problems that the other two commenters have.

Good pub. I would recommend it.

ps. I do live nearby and have never had any problems from there.

I agree with MankyBadger! This is one of the most unwelcoming pubs I've ever been to. The ale, although Harvey's, is pretty awful Not somewhere I would wish to visit again. The noise from the pub at weekends is appalling and I pity anyone having to live near it!

There are some pubs that you walk in, and you know from the atmosphere that you're not welcome. This pub saves you the trouble of having to walk into the place to find it out. The thugs in the beer garden shout at you to tell you that you're not welcome.
And so this place joins that select band of pubs to which I've given a score of 0/10. It might be a tad harsh. If the publican doesn't like it, he can sort out his clientelle.

Nice friendly pub. Very friendly and attentive bar staff.

Only one small niggle.

The only real ale they serve is Harvey's and it appears that they don't serve many pints of it as it usually tastes a bit stale.

If you like lager or chemically enhanced smoothflow bitter then it is the ideal pub.
