It was ran by Paul and had just become our local but unfortunately we went in on Friday and he seems to have left!! The new people weren't that friendly and had their own "cronies" at the bar and the Guinness they served was disgusting, tasted of Bacardi. Lets hope they're temporary and whoever takes it on pulls it around again. Shan't be visiting for a while despite being 5 mins round the corner from it. Hucks - 3 Mar 2008 13:04
Very good Tribute in community-focused old pub; shame it was quiet but interrupted by competing TV and radio blaring. mtaylor40 - 23 Nov 2007 22:43
Haven't eaten in here yet as everytime we've been the place seems to be shut. Heard that it may be going under new management again. Guinness is good but you're paying City prices of £3.10 for a pint compared to £2.90 up the road at the Carpenters Arms. Quite atmospheric as long as you don't have the locals and 5 kids in there having a drink anonymous - 10 Jul 2007 16:35
Food has been dummed down to suit the local taste. Good Sunday lunches and monthly theme buffets always packed. Friendly bar staff and manager and standard ales (periodic guest beers as well). No longer has a darts team but some of the old dominoers are still going (just). growler - 7 Nov 2006 12:18
Within 10 minutes walk of Harlington station, this 17th century pub has recently been completely refurbished, with refitted kitchen, under new management and provides a comprehensive menu of good food. Friendly atmosphere, beer garden/patio with children's play area. Thriving darts and dominoes teams. Richard Easterbrook - 22 Jun 2003 11:53
