| Quirky & friendly? A welcome stop after a very bitter walk back in the wind last night from Sharpenhoe. A nice fire, another friendly face behind the bar, and interested inquiries given the driving snow flurries outside. It had been treacherous coming down from the Clappers - and Taylor's Golden Best helped retire equanimity if not balance before a slide up & around in the part. | Quirky up and down lay out to parts of this pub and a reasonable pint ( tried the Adnams and the Cornish Tribute). Friendly enough and good to have two pubs in a village.
