| I have visited this pub several times over the past 18 months to eat and drink. The layout is fresh, modern in a traditional sense. The menu is varied but not inexpensive, but the presentation and quality of the food and service has always been excellent. Most importantly, for a pub that is primarily for dining, the ales are always in top top condition and many times i have foregone the wine and continued with beer throughout the meal, not just as an aperitif so to speak. The choice of real ales, usually three, sometimes four, changes frequently, so there is always something different to sample.
