| Very busy place indeed and extremely well patronised, was given guidance from a local who also helped us get a table has we had not booked. We were found a table within the time it took to purchase a round of drinks and shown to it. the bulk of the meals, Sunday was a very good carvery, which everyone seemed to go for. for the time we were their it was a constant flow of people. The drinks were on form as well, my Jouster providing an excellent lubricant. The place was very clean and a log fire going also, geared p for the restaurant clientelle in the main, could use an area for social drinking but, all in all a pleasant time had by all.. james55westhead - 12 Dec 2010 18:19 |
| We used to visit here a long time ago and they used to specialise in the best Burger ‘Baps’ - but found it is now a regular restaurant. We eat out only probably about 4-5 times a year and this occasion was for our daughters 3rd birthday. Everything was fine until my wife found a WASP under and amongst the liver and bacon sauce (served on the plate, not a side dish). We had that course taken off the bill but no apology or even a visit to our table from the MANAGER. After asking to see her she said they’ve had a lot of them about this year!
