Called in here for a couple of drinks last Sunday evening whilst holidaying in the area. Very friendly local, welcoming staff and customers, good atmosphere. Didnt eat so cant comment on the food but clearly some very satisfied diners there that evening. Very nice Butcombe, also Ringwood Best on offer that evening. Well worth a visit if youre in the area.

two and a half pints and a very small orange juice for 10!
The 'Steak and Ale' pie had very little meat, which was hard, half a dozen chips (or I could have had 3 small new potatoes!) small portion of vegetables, extremely average. the dessert was in very small portions and at 5 each!

boring and expensive, will not be going again.

Sadly Yvette and Bob's plans to change the pub didn't include it burning to the ground.Have no idea if it will be rebuilt but will keep you posted.

Sunday visit for lunch. Excellent roast beef, and good beer. Very good value food. Bar a bit small so will get crowded at busy times. A big LCD tv hung over the piano suggests a 'youf' or 'sports' presence.
