Jennings pub with a couple of Jennings ale - drinkable. Place seemed busy enough with the food crowd - sat outside in fact for some peace and quite- Catterick is a nice village.

Had booked a table for 8:30 for 4 adults and one child. As soon as we sat down we were told we had to be out by 9. Really put the dampers on the evening. We ordered and waited more than 20 minutes for the food to come. Food arrived 8:50. BBQ chicken melt had no BBQ and was extremely dry. No cheesy chips came even though they had been ordered and double, triple checked they were on the order. Once I asked the waiter if they were coming, he left and returned with some chips with grated cheese sprinkled on top, not at all melted. I pointed this out to the waiter. I asked about the BBQ on the chicken to be told it was under the bacon, lifted it up, no sign of BBQ sauce. Pointed this out to the waiter, who was totally non co-operative and he returned behind the bar. When I asked if he was going to do anything he ignored me so I asked to speak to the manager. I have never been spoken to in such an unproffessional manner by any manager. I was told he ignored me because "he was going to lose it because I had done nothing but complain." She brought a small bowl of BBQ sauce thinking this was suffice. An evening totally ruined by unprofessional people with no people skills. The young barman had a 'hand rolled cigarette' behind his ear the whole time he served us. This was not only a rather unusual adornment but also very uncouth! Would not reccommend to anyone. Will definitely never go back there.
