Despite noting a few hiccups since the Ians moved on the Assembly is still a good pub. Still very tidy with a range of mostly national ales. The nice barwoman/manager with the fair hair is still here, though I've found on occasion that she sometimes keeps the show on the road and stops things descending to MacSpoons standards. Still well worth a visit in a rather grim end of Bristhole.

Probably the best pub in the East St end of Bemmy, athough this a title not currently difficult to hold. It's clean and friendly and modern & the food - if you're so inclined - beats Wetherspoons by a fair margin. (A more expensive microwave?) Good for footie too - I may find myself in there tomorrow for City vs Cardiff.

Still as good as ever, although the prices have gone up a little. Now the dearest ale is 2.10. Wye Valley Christmas Stocking was of note(very clove and cinnamon flavoured) on my recent visit. Also I'm sorry to report that the landlord and lady who've been here since it opened are moving on to conquer a Baracuda pub in Exmouth soon, their successor here will have a hard act to follow. Father Jack says well done folks and all the best for the future.

went for a quick lunch today, again great service by the staff and good drink. but my food was a a little long at getting out. the staff running around got me my food and when i asked why it took so long(35mins) they replied "not to sure". a great pub but today let me down. 5/10

I popped along Friday after being sold a S&J party ticket by an young enthusiastic manager, and i would say it was the best 1.50 i ever spent. on the night i walked up, where the same manager was on the door to greet me and check my ticket. my first drink of the night was FREE, Yes FREE, and a good selection of drink were 1.50. i was drinking Bulmers all night that the barmaid suggested, and said that it was a one off special, and it was great. free buffet, good music by a sensible DJ at the bar. Truly a fantastic night out in bedminster, which is a unusual thing. 10/10
