Fabulous pub, clean, modern and a great menu.
The pub was in desperate need of a refurb and I'm so pleased to see that it has finally happened.
The current landlords have clearly invested a huge amount of time, money and thought into the pub and as someone who lives in the village this is very much appreciated.
The Green Man is the central meeting place for locals and it is lovely to see so many using the pub again. Well done Paul and Adam!
Very much still a country pub with visits from walking groups, car groups etc and the local shoot using it again for meetings and lunch.
We've now visited several times and really enjoyed each meal we've had and will be using it frequently.
Great beers, Guiness, Aspels cider and a good choice of wines.
Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Really nice to be able to sit out the front and watch the world go by although most people are now u-turning back to come in. There is a large car park athe back of the pub.
Fantastic to keep our village pub. Highly recommended!

The pub is now in new ownership, gone is the country pub feel as it has been modernised and the heart and soul has been put in a skip.
On first arriving there was nowhere to park as the front car park has been covered with tables for drinkers as there is little space inside as it is all set up for food. We managed to find a seat in the middle bar and had to sit with our 2 drinks (cost £10, usually about £8 at the other pubs we visit) and listen to a load of foul mouth business men trying to big each other up ,they had no respect for the young girl or other females in the bar. Sorry to say it has gone downhill since Matt has left and sorry to say we wont be going back. Its a shame as it was a nice country pub and the new owners have tried to turn it into there Chelmsford pub that they own.

A very nice pub set in a lovely little village serving good beer. Great home made food with one of the best ranges of sandwiches around. Large and well looked after garden out the back that is also dog friendly.
