I do not think much of Youngs as a company anyway, and I know some of their policies are off the wall. Someone hired the Falklands for an 18th birthday party saturday night. Sence would tell you there will be under age at this party, nothing wrong with this. There was NO I.D. checks when they went to the bar(money more important than the law ?), shots were taken around on a tray for anyone to take. Or prehaps the law has changed in the last couple of days and you can serve under 18's. Lets hope thing tighten up. No rating as not used this pub and with policy's like this not likley to.

Nothing wrong with this pub, very friendly landlady and staff. the girl behind the bar would be the prettiest star at the Cannes Film Festival.

there's a front and back room with one bar...didn't go in the back, but the front was a bit too clean and clinical for my liking...almost like someone's lounge...

the Youngs bitter was ok, but on the warm side...a locals pub it seemed...unlikely to go back...a better boozer IMHO is the Prince of wales across the road, even if it is a Pubmaster chain one..

Having moved here recently from West London, we found ourselves somewhat disappointed by The Falkland. So along with some other neighbours we recently formed a small local committee and have been in dialogue with Youngs to bring some new energy to the business, perhaps to take it up market and to gain greater appeal for 'the urban professional' sector of Dorking. For instance, we have suggested a wine tasting and a French cheese night. Do get in touch if you want to be involved. We like to call this place The Malvinas!

What a disappointment. Having read the posts about this being a traditional gem, when we visited we discovered it had been ruined - the front section trying to pretend it's a swish bar, the back now a 'modern' restaurant. Service lacklustre.

You might forgive this if the beer was any good, but it isn't. My pint was very poor, cloudy and stale tasting, and I could only stomach half of it. My companions was also dodgy. Oh and there's a pitbull cross 'attack dog' that barks and growls at you when you come in. Lovely.

The Cricketers is the place to be if visiting Dorking, and that's where we took our money to when we left. Youngs take note.
