user reviews of the Falkland Arms, Dorking

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

An incredibly friendly family-run pub. There's a 'big screen', dart board and pool table in the front bar and a quieter 'more civilised' area for dining or a quiet drink. It also has a lovely walled garden that's a sun trap in the summer and the landlady does excellent food at reasonable prices.

The Falkland has very simple decor but I can not rate it highly enough, since moving to the area the friendly nature of the owners and the locals has made it like a second living room!

Great local with very friendly new management. Simple interior, good beers, pool table and darts. Not heaving with teenagers like some of the competition in the centre of town. Nice outside decking area should be pleasant in the summer with a pint of Youngs in hand.

The new management have worked hard to make this a fine boozer - with excellent food (all day) and beer. Pool and darts teams are very active and the beer garden is probaby the best in Dorking. During the fine summer - and partly because of the the no smoking ban - this well maintained amenity will come into its own. A large screen caters for sport and there is a Ladbrokes just across the road ! A strong contender for Dorking "Pub of the Year".

This is a Youngs house & looks smart from the outside, but I didn't go in.
