Quaint from the outside but opened up bar like in the interior, losing any character it possibly had. Chain food and beer on offer. The beer was from Marstons on our visit and the food was from the Freezer. The staff were polite and helpful, but the whole experience left me cold. Below average. imdownthepub - 5 May 2008 15:49
15th century public house. Claims to be the oldest in town. Some old features, but modernised inside. Food available. Good value 2-for-1 deals. Cask ales : wadworth 6X, Courage Directors reynard - 15 May 2007 17:59
Eldridge Pope house in traditional Cotswold building in centre of historic Cirencester. I had a quite well-kept Southern Glory. Chain-pub menu, but was very tasty. I wouldn't travel to Cirencester just to go to this pub, but once I was there I would certainly not walk on by. Apparently, they do accomodation, too. shropspy - 25 Sep 2006 16:18
