The best pub in Kingston by a long way. Table football, pool table, decent music, friendly service, quality beer garden and a really decent mix of people. Not the normal alocpop fuelled saturday night chav-fest you can expect in most other central Kingston bars. mauteek - 4 Oct 2007 12:53
fear not smada! i have it on good authority that the cocoanut will be with us under its present management for years to come! Infact it has recently undergone a spiritual and social revamp which has given it a whole new lease of life! mazungo - 29 Jun 2007 12:46
I heard a rumour that the cocoanut is shutting down soon, i hope this isnt true, so it will be badly missed. somebody please confirm or deny this smada - 23 May 2007 16:08
Anonymous 8 Nov: I think you'll find a lot of the louts that you refer to are actually locals, also, do you not think the junkies that hang around on the fairfield are a bigger problem for the local kids? Jennavive - 5 Jan 2007 00:20
I have a feeling that I know the guy who posted the rather damming review of the cocoanut. Interesting. I've been drinking at the 'nut' for a number of years now, and I find it hard to belive what our 'anonymous' friend posted on the 8th of november. As always in this country, the voice of one person with a minor problem seems louder than the masses who enjoy the cocoanut week in week out. Being a local resident, I have found the atmosphere to be welcoming and relaxed. A far cry from the mayhem of Kingston city centre. What character would Mill Street have without the Cocoanut? Rather little I feel. I do hope those who seem determined to cause the managers, locals, regulars so much hassle, have a sit down and think about what this amazing pub brings to this area. P.S Best pint of Grolsch in the land! banjomonkey - 15 Nov 2006 16:56
