| Superb views over to Eastbourne, worth going if just for that. Cavery excellent value for the price and there is a veggie option. Beers ok. Only downside is the lack of people in there. Not sure why as staff very friendly. ktbtigger - 2 Apr 2011 20:59 |
| Strange atmosphere in this pub, can't quite put a finger on it. The view is exceptional and the food is excellent but now that the chef is gone Im not quite sure we'll be visiting the pub anymore. My husband and I had a lovely meal last week but certain people made the pub look quite untidy and the landlord was quite happy with the situation so..... without the food the pub's rating has gone down to zero. | Strange pub this one. Nice dining room and garden at the back (and I hear good reports about the food) but a scruffy front bar that's often appears closed from the road. More a watering hole for local workmen than a welcoming pub for thirsty travellers. sussexred - 5 Apr 2007 14:58 |
