this has been taken over by The Orange Cider Bar which sells some really good traditional ciders. In barrels are black rat and thatchers and another one I cant remember the name of. On draught are symmonds, my favourite, thatchers gold, old rosie, cheddar valley, old rascal, stowford press and strongbow for the wussies! This is the best pub for cider that I have come across but that is where it stops. The staff are friendly but its not a comfortable bar as it has stools around the edge with worktops and horrible shiny orange sofas which are difficult to get comfortable on. There are no curtains or blinds so anyone passing can see straight in which makes it feel a bit like being in a golfish bowl. It used to have curtains in the old pub which made it more homely. Clientele were heavy drinker types but friendly enough and have seen a younger crowd in the evening. 10/10 for cider anything else 2/10 POPPYSUMMERLANDS - 30 Nov 2009 19:14
Popular bar located on one of the busiest thoroughfares in Weymouth, at the heart of the towns drinking circuit. Unfortunately they don't serve food. ThePintMaster - 19 Feb 2009 14:12
Tiny but popular pub in the main street. Usually a good vibe here - especially if you try the shooters. Pubgrabber - 4 Aug 2006 21:17
