| This pub is now closed and boarded up, due to compulsory purchase. It will be demolished soon to make way for a bypass. It’s a shame as The Albion was quite a nice pub, in traditional style serving good Robinsons beers – and not a poncey gin palace, like most of the other so-called pubs are in Ashton centre. Farewell.
