user reviews of the White Hart, Coggeshall

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Room and shower good as per previous post - breakfast good. On the ale front, unfortunately only Greene KIng ales available - Best and Speckled Hen, the latter was bland - was 7 marked down 1 for ale selection.

I stayed here last night. The hotel/pub itself is really nice. Lovely room, with a very comfortable bed, and great shower.
Breakfast this morning was extremely tasty, although I struggled to decide what to have, as the choice was so good. My partner and I both enjoyed the food.
A friend of mine who used to live in the area said the price of alcohol was high, but I was only there for the B&B side of it.

The White Hart is a hotel as well as a pub of character and parts of the building date from the 15th century. It serves food of a high standard. As well as a bar menu there is an a la carte menu, a summer salad menu and a specials menu which changes every week. They flamb the food in the restaurant and the Sunday roasts are carved at the tables. Food is not cheap thpough. Breakfast is available in the mornings. There is an extensive selection of wines and the beer is IPA Green King.
