| The Wilton Arms, can be likened to light hearted purgatory with a pint. If you like often strange but good company and the craic, cheap Holt's beer (which is great), council estate kitsch, x-factor entertainment on a saturday eve (and that's not necessarily the act!), Then this is the place for you. To be honest I have mixed feelings about this pub. Samuel Johnson said 'when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life,' the same could be said about the Wilton Arms, obviously on a much smaller scale. Finally, the staff are great, and brave . . . often times they have to be! Rating: Raw material for the gritty realist novelist or film director - Danny Boyle was brought up just round the corner.
