| Nice 'bricks and mortar' pub with some interesting old photographs and oil style lights round the walls. Gets quite busy with eaters on a Friday and Saturday evening and was a bit annoyed that several tables were empty with "Reserved" signs on, meaning people just wanting a few drinks were squashed into the side room. rl4engb - 24 Nov 2008 14:41 |
| "The best Gastro pub in the North West" according to The Independent apparently. Can't argue as food was excellent, a good choice of nicely kept beers and the occasional star of the small screen (just round the corner from Granada Studios), and you can even stay overnight for £50 a double room.
