Good beer and I would say definitely GBG material. Young's Bitter, Tring Joack o'Legs and I think Bombardier. So typical Charlie Wells, but very good quality. jjsint - 21 May 2012 16:54
Primarily a restaurant which has a small bar for dirnkers at the front. Poor selection of ales...Youngs and Bombardier were on. The Youngs was drinkable. Pretty disappointing for a GBG entry. Better places in the village that CAMRA seemed to overlook. Snarling_Mallard - 13 Jul 2010 22:22
Pretty dreary place this. We were sitting in the extension at the back of the pub - which was fairly lifeless and resembled the dining area of an old folks' home (and not just because some of the personnel were a bit on the old side - after all, it's Wing, what do you expect?!). The food was meidocre, bland to say the least, and the staff were a bit slow. Won't be going back. tfidonnie - 20 Oct 2008 17:25
Had London Pride on - OK but hardly GBG material - doing a roaring food trade midweek though. I though the Cock was the Beer Guide regular here ? mtaylor40 - 2 Aug 2007 23:19
Based on the rating (albeit of one) we visited this pub on 6 July 2007. What a disappointment. The nice man on the bar explained that the only cask ale that he had was Green King IPA! We do not like driving so far to just assist Green King in their world domination efforts with a very average beer. Perhaps we just hit a bad day? Dog lovers and lager drinkers may well love it. Fortunately the Cock Inn is opposite. We decamped their and they had an excellent range of beers. BeerEnthusiast - 7 Jul 2007 09:14
