| Not a bad pub. Every town should have a pub like this. I visited a 15.20 on a wednesday afternoon the front room of the bar had 12 over 50's drinking beer and watching the racing. The middle room had a couple of lads watching sky sports news and then 4 lad playing pool at the back. The beer was all from the marstons stable. Burton bridge bitter, Pedigree and the chrismas one 'Ugly sisters'. I had pedigree which I couldn't fault it was poured well, had a perfect head and kept its life right to the end. | An honest boozer near the centre of town and a real boon for those who want to avoid the student rabble around that patch. The Stella and the Strongbow hit the spot but unfortunately there's not much on ale wise.
