| The 'Bowling Green' is leamington spa's oldest town hall. The are records of this pub trading in 1625. This makes its history very important. Not only in local history but also in UK history. It is in need of a refurb so still has its 70's decor. This does mean that it's got a lot of charm. If you are in the area please pop in. The Bowling Green, New Street Leamington Spa. | A really good local with a diverse range of customers. A vast majority support the local footbal team leamington FC,some support premier teams even Villa and Arsenal but hey who cares. They serve a good variety of real ale all kept to a high standard, all the bar staff are friendly and efficient. they serve a good variety of pub food again all of a high standard and in large proportions. Pete and Kath the landlord and landlady are a really freindly and hard working couple who will make you feel really welcome and ensure you will want to return and enjoy their hospitallity time and time again. brakesfc - 21 Jan 2007 00:33 |
| Having been a regular for 14 years I've seen 5 changes in Landlords. Its a great boozer. Sadly the pub was run down both physically and spiritually by the last owners but I,m glad to say that the current owners ( Pete and Cath)are bringing it back to the friendly welcoming place it used to be.
