user reviews of the Airfield, Hatfield

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

New to the area so can’t say I knew what it was like before, but have been there a few times now and must admit I found it pretty good. Service was ok (not tried food yet though) and the prices are what you would expect with it being adjoined to a Hotel.

I must admit since moving to Hatfield I’ve found good local pubs few and far between so this place easily gets an above average rating from me!

Had a refurb six odd months ago and it was done pretty well. The manager is a nice guy and the beer's OK but service is slow and the food is rubbish. It's bad news when a "chef" can't even cook frozen chips properly. Also extremely expensive for what it is. In short quite a poor pub but given the dearth of alternatives and the presence of thousands of thirsty workers across the road it's not like they really have to try. I would guess they do about ninety per cent of their business Friday lunchtime as the place heaves.

Typical Brewers Fayre - what you expect is what you get. But as it's attached to a Lodgey Hotel Thingy, it's the only pub I know where you have to pay to use the car park.
