| Difficult but not impossible to make Thwaites' a good pint. The Jacob's Well doesn't. Some 3.5% so-called hoppy bitter £3.30/pint as well. Pub full and selling lot of food at 7pm on Friday so some must like it. Food ain't cheap either. Needs refurbishing as well - it's starting to look tired now. Don't go for the beer then. | Nice Thwaites pub with good food and some history - it was apparently used as a mortuary after floods in 1859! Three cask ales from Thwaites, Lancaster Bomber was in good form on my visit oftenscore6 - 21 Nov 2006 22:16 |
