Made a detour to this place on the way from the brewing museum to the Burton Bridge. Although fairly empty in weekday mid-afternoon, there was agood selection of ales available. Efficient friendly service.

Disappointing. Normally had to wait 5 minutes to get served as the barman kept going AWOL. Pint of vinegar was then served. Not worth the effort of finding the place.

Good pub, big TV for football, music stages, good pint of Castle Rock Harvest Pale. Livesaver Jan 1 when everything else was shut, never been to a town before where none of the other town centre pubs open until 3pm.....

Disappointed with this place. The pub website makes the place sound interesting - it's a gig venue, has a newsagents in it, has a cafe in it that opens before the pub. On my visit I found the place to be a bit of a dive. I won't bother again. Not worth the walk our of town. A pub for the locals methinks. The Wetmore Chippy next door was superb. 2/10.

The beer here was excellent - I had the harvester gold yesterday evening which was top class in taste and price but was not made welcome by the staff and other customers which was disappointing given the reputation of this pub
