| Had dinner bed and breakfast here. Very much food oriented with a small back bar for non-eaters. Good menu well executed and comfortable enough room (en-suite, TV etc) reasonable breakfast choice but would have liked to see some fruit. Three real ales Brakspeares, Woodfordes Wherry and a Ringwood brew. I'd go again to eat but would prefer more of a drinkers' pub if I were just out for a pint. KevinD - 17 Dec 2013 12:10 |
| This boutique hotel / pub has seen some turbulent times over the last few years. Now with new owners, new management and an excellent new chief they have really nailed it. I took my parents there and we have a fantastic meal with excellent service. Has to be said, one of the best meals we have had for some time. | Delightful, cosy old inn. Has suffered a bit in comparison with the Crown opposite, but still worth a try. Best in the winter when you can sink into a comfy armchair in front of a blazing log fire. Food not bad. Stallywag - 5 Dec 2006 20:43 |
