Really nice pub, good welcome from the staff when you step through the door. Nice selection of beers on hand pump, up to four real ales. They are selling the low alcohol Tolly English Ale for £2.50 unlike some who want to charge the same as normal beer.
Nice selection of food at reasonable prices and very nice it is too!
Live music some evenings which can be fun, try Monday lunchtime when some of the locals perform very entertaining!

A decent country pub, a very pleasant time can be spent here any time of the year. Nice food and beer with a good choice.

When we visited at Easter, we were lucky enough to be able to sit out at the front and soak up the sun and enjoy the views at this lovely rural pub. The staff and locals were charming and the beer was fine.

What an excellent pub, the landlord gave us a very friendly welcome when we first walked in. There were six hand-pumps all with beer on, Adnams Bitter, Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Woodfordes Wherry are the main beers while the other three pumps have guest beers on.
On this occasion it was Rusty Bucket and Morris Mayhem, can't remember the third one.
I tried the Wherry and the Landlord and they were both in very fine condition.
Since our first visit we have returned several times and on each occasion the landlord has said hello to us and been very pleasant. The food at the pub is extremely good and time needs to be spent reading the blackboards for whats on offer. It will be a regular haunt of ours as not only is the beer kept well they serve some great food and they give a warm welcome.
An superb pub!

Tatty but genuine village local full of the locals. Great to see ,and hear the burr of the Suffolk accent, in a peacefully quiet if not idyllic village

In the Adnams world that is flat ,it is heartening to have a pub in this area with non Adnams beers, as good as the latter is (and prompted me to hold their stock).

5 real ales available. Wherry, brewers gold and cottage were on , for my visit.

The Adnams Old Ale (£2.80) was very reasonably priced and in perfect condtion. What a great style of beer it is.I only wish we saw more of it.

The perfect way to celebrate seeing a Bittern form 5 yards.

I wish this pub continued success
