I've been to the fez a few times and I've never been able to relax or enjoy myself. The place really does attract pretentious up there own bum type people. The Turtle next door is much friendlier. So much so that if you try and talk to people in the Fez they'll turn thier nose up at you (especially if you don't have drainpipes, a modern mullet and an attitude to boot) Very "trendy". You can chat to most people at the turtle, so many characters. Diversity is good :) Lots of different types of music played too :) Dr.Zarkov - 23 May 2007 14:34
If they ran out of lime its understandable. Oh yeah and i doubt a slice of lime adds on a few pennies to the price, you only pay for the bottle... anyyyway... The times i've been to fez its a great bar. Doorstaff though don't seem to have a good reputation here, i can vouch for that from one scenario where they were quite open about the fact they'd rather everyone go home than pay and go in. I can understand "having a bad day" but its not professional at all. The downstairs room is a bit small but its different, and i usually head upstairs before too long, where the dancefloor is nice and big and service is great! Nice variety of nights here and overall a good bar! vishox - 11 Feb 2007 07:24
A Corona with no lime? That's like a curry without the rice. If the establishment has pride in it's array of drinks and service you shouldn't have to even ask for a lime. Markus - 12 Dec 2006 00:02
Went to see The Egg here on Saturday. Prices were expensive (no ale, Corona was £3 and with no lime either). But I guess I knew that was coming anyway, seeing as The Egg weren't playing the 3B's...! The barmaids were friendly though, and the bogs were in a decent state. Some music afterwards and it got pretty busy but it was too trendy for me! And I was broke. Gig was a gas though. Hoorah! Quinno - 4 Dec 2006 18:33
