| Excellent backstreet city centre alehouse. Hoskins beers plus guests and ciders. It has quite a spartan interior, but that fits well with the place. It's just off the main street through the town and quite handy for the train station. Well recommended. twohalves - 26 Jul 2011 11:29 |
| Loved it, plenty of Hoskins beers on, all that we tried were tasty and well-served, the HOB standing out as excellent. A proper pub, with good beer, and an incredibly friendly barmaid, could not fault the place. I had heard of the landlady's reputation, but was disappointed, I smiled and was friendly, and she responded in kind.
