| Decent pool table but can be a bit cramped at the sides. Also does a couple of good ales and decent food. Likeable pub with friendly staff. dyyony - 6 Jun 2008 13:44 |
| Paid another visit to this pub this week. What a great place still. Took my old dear and we had the best sunday lunch ever, lot's of fresh veg as well as everthing else.Real ales are perfect! Secretbeerpolice - 18 Apr 2008 13:55 |
| I have been a regular at The Rose and Crown for over 5 years now, Gill and Paul run a very clean pub with a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The food is absoulty fantastic! Expertly prepared and served; the menu is very traditional but specials are run on a regular basis, my personal favourite is the fortnightly curry nights where you get a curry (with all the trimings) and a pint at a very reasonable price. The beer is kept at a standard that is nothing less than perfect, the real ales change on a regular basis so there is always something new for people to try. As well as a good selection of beers; The Rose also offers a wide range of ciders, wines and spirits. In my humble opinion this is the best pub I have had the pleasure of frequenting. | A fantastic place. Great food, well priced, fortnightly curry nights are superb; and with a great atmosphere, a good place to come for a drink anytime. Secretbeerpolice - 24 Sep 2007 17:13 |
| This pub used to be great in the crazy days of Jane and Chris. It's still a looker - ancient building with a well-preserved fireplace. Serves Thai food now and has gone somewhat up-market. Greshon - 9 Feb 2007 15:44 |
