Not a singer in the chevy chase, a regular fiddle player though, am I wrong? I think not.

A bit unfair for the partner of the landlord to write a 'review' sounded more like an advert to me.

I think this time, you have been rumbled.

I have recently started using this pub on a fairly regular basis and have to say I always feel welcomed by the staff and regulars. No pub is perfect but then you will never have the perfect pub that everyone likes!! If you just want a friendly chat, a bit of craic and banter and decent beer then this is your place. All nationalities are welcome especially if they make an effort to join in. If you choose to sit alone in the corner to read your paper then maybe this is not the pub for you.

I haven't been on here for so long but it's good to see all the different comments. Ok first things first, Escoffier, I'm afraid you're not the sleuth you would like to think, i'm not a singer in the Chevy or anywhere else for that matter, never have been and never will be although I think my voice is ok, no one else shares my enthusiam for my singing. If it helps,I think i may know who you think i am and it's not that i'm even trying to hide the fact, just don't want to post it on here.
Secondly, there was an application to make the Chevy a pole dancing place but it was petitioned out by nearly 500 people including the current landlord.
Apart from that everything else is ok - lol!

Used to give this place a wide berth just on the impression I was getting from the front of the pub. But wandered in there late one evening having decided to give the cart and horses a miss, and you know it wasn't so bad, loads of drunk people all having a laugh, no trouble and it's much bigger than it looks.

They've just applied for a licence to have naked pole dancers, apparently. Classy joint.
