One of the better McMullens pubs of the day. Had a pint of Stokers Mate. I am not keen on the everyday McMullens brews but their one off and occasional beers tend to be quite nice, as the Stokers Mate was in this case. This is a pub of two halves, though mainly food orientated it is okay for soemone who just wants a swift ale. As you go in the bar to the left is more pub like while to the right is more food aligned. Snarling_Mallard - 16 May 2011 00:12
I stopped by this pub just this friday night, It was a lovely atmosphere within the restaurant with just amazing service and excellent food that was very reasonably priced. After my meal I went into the pub area where it seemed also very cosy but it seemed the landlady was celebrating and had a bit of a party going on. Apart from that, I would happily recommend this pub & restaurant to anyone! 10/10 BrianHaye - 5 Mar 2011 17:55
Lovely country pub in a rural setting with a nice garden. The inside is small but cosy and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The menu is varied and the food portions are of a good size and reasonable priced. I would recommend anyone in the area to visit the pub themselves. likespubs_123 - 2 Mar 2011 12:45
Lovely old style pub in a grezt location. Smashing beer garden. Got stared out by a local who was sitting by the door. Beer i had was McMullen Country Best which was lovely. Staff seemed quite friendly. NeilA - 17 May 2010 19:22
This is a lovely location for a pub and the building is traditional English etc. and it has a very nice garden. The beer and the service, however is bad. I would go to this place on a hot summer's evening and sit in the garden where you can appreciate the lovely location but don't expect good beer or service. zoomy - 26 Feb 2010 14:34
