The Walsall Arms is situated in an old industrial street to the east of the town centre. It doesn't look promising at all. The interior has the feeling of a club and there is a skittles alley at the rear. Just the landlord and two local gents were in. They were soon replaced by two younger ladies on the wine. Timothy Taylor Landlord, Wye Valley Bitter & HPA, Ludlow Gold & Holdens Golden Glow were the ales.

Reasonable small locals' pub with two or three ales on. No food apart from filled rolls. Friendly enough.

I wish to echo ' mikastrauk ', the turnround has been fantastic for this well known watering hole , six handpulls with local and distant ales to tempt the palate, during my recent four visits my friends and I have been well pleased with the selection. The noted ' Skittle alley ' has been refurbished as a wellcome facility for the locallity. Food is also making a long missed feature, I will try it , and those that have already, say I have a treat coming. Well done to those that have pulled this pub back up to where it belongs.

Has now changed hands and i must say its fantastic !!
Pub has since been bought and has been fully re-furbished .It is a freehouse with traditional ales run by the experienced publicans Jim and Gay chambers ( formerly from the successful Fountain Arms) in Lower Foster Street
Open from 12 till late with great skittle nights and a private function room for parties etc....
Ten out of ten !!
