A bit petty of me perhaps but I would recommend people post their reviews without commenting (as I am) on previous reviews - different day different experiences. Having just revisited - ale was good as was the cleanliness of the bar (NOT SO the gents loo). Atmosphere very convivial - food pleasant but not the best around. odbod - 28 Oct 2011 13:10
Great pub, Read negative reviews efore visiting. totally un true review from our experience. We loved it, nice setting, great range of drinks, grat band performing on our visit, nice staff. Clean and well maintained. Thank you very much ladymc1982 - 24 Sep 2011 21:45
Re visit, still popular, good ale, good atmosphere and comfy too. odbod - 6 May 2011 12:41
Had a quick lunch time pint recently, nicely refurbed and my ale was very well kept. Service was a little poor, the staff seemd to have their minds on everything but the customers. The former public bar dwellers seemed a bit lost now that the pub is open plan, but with Greens being a restaurant in all but name they have no other traditional pub left in Wickham. odbod - 14 Jan 2010 10:48
Although the pub has been refurbished, it retains a large bar area when entering. The HSB and London Pride I tried was in excellent condition. Service was prompt and helpful and landlord most convivial. The dining area is towards the rear on a raised floor and the food was good with about average prices for a smart pub. Will return sometime. Feed - 9 Dec 2009 21:38
