Hi all. Just to keep you all in the know about what is happening at the William IV.

I am aware that some of you have been disappointed with things of late. Sadly the last management (as many do when approaching the end of a lease) let standards slip and did not impress people.

I have had the site for a few weeks now and have spent much time cleaning and sorting it out.

The food offering is now sorted, you can now enjoy steak burgers, monkfish, halloumi and crayfish dishes to name a few. All fresh and prepared with a stunning amount of care.

Wine list is complete, we off a great range of well chosen wine from all over the world, there's even an Austrian wine if you want to try something a little different (highly recommended).

Real Ale offering is not operational as yet as we have had a nightmare with a poorly maintained cold cellar but once sorted we will have 5 rotational ales on at all times.

We are here to stay, and I can promise you all that the highest standards will be applied here.

I hope to see you all soon in a show of support for this lovely pub.

Lovely building with lots of potential, but went in last week only to be told there was NO draught lagers available!!Had some friends over from abroad & went in again last night, only to be told AGAIN that they had NO draught beers WHATSOEVER!!How can a pub run out of beer, especially in April,it's hardly 28'c outside is it?About a week before our 1st "NO BEER" experience, were served a pint at 9.50pm then immediately told we had to "drink up" as they were closing. Two ladies had just bought a bottle of wine & ended up leaving half a bottle as they said they could not finish a whole bottle in 10 mins!!Surely things have to improve if they want to compete with the other pubs in the are??
