Finally closed after a long death. Mainly due to the extortionate prices.

It is fairly expensive in here although the pints of Carling (£3.45 each) were very good pints.

Suprisingly the place has a small pleasant courtyard garden out the back with trains whizzing past every few minutes or so.

The front of the pub is a has a very impressive tiling style to it although the bars are slightly more disapointing once inside.

Nice visit.

Used to be a great boozer. Came back to Plymouth after 2 years and it seems to have become a typical matelots pub. Poor service, overpriced beer, surly staff.

Went there befoe a function acroos the road in the Naval barrracks. Would never go again. Barmaid was rude beyond belief. Beer expensive and not that great.I am sure that they are used to serving sailors but no excuse for treating customers as we were treated

A typical Matelots pub. Two big screens and several other TV's. Directors, John Smiths and Abbot Ale on hand pump. Excellent Landlord and Landlady. Can get very busy at times. Bar staff are all young girls and you may struggle to get served if you are not a srviceman aged under 25
