| A surprisingly good local pub on my visit a few months back, I have to admit I wasn't expecting much. Greedy King ale was decently served (even if the range was a bit limited). Pub was busy for a weekday night. Fair cross-section of punters, ladies darts team were throwing arrows and there was a lively buzz about the place. The interior was quite nicely done. | The E&C is a proper old fashioned pub. The bar is smokey but friendly with an open fire and plenty of horse brass. It has a broad selection of drinks and packets of snacks with sociable service and plenty of seating. The Lounge / Restaurant area is non smoking with a good menu (Sunday dinner is great) the fish tank alone is worth a look. They also have a garden area for the kids. hoponbrophy - 28 May 2007 02:34 |
