My friend frequents this establishment all the time. He loves nothing more than dining on the Thai Curry before sinking lots of cider. I prefer the bangers and mash myself. I love the name of the pub because it sounds like someone called Aspey who buys his football boots from car boot sales. The Aspley is awesome. spooner78 - 14 May 2008 20:49
Has just had a refit as mentioned below - and the bastids have put the prices up! zamora250 - 26 Aug 2007 11:05
The Aspley is located in the Huddersfield Canal Basin, Seems to have got a bit above itself since its revamp, we used to end a great walk with kids and dogs with a drink and meal, the last being a couple of weeks ago. This Sunday however, was ordered out of the Beer Garden, DOGS NOT ALLOWED. Never mind, plenty more in the area. Rated 1 because the sun was shinning. storeylines - 23 Jul 2007 14:29
Middle of the road, unoffensive, weak food SiggiRonson - 19 Aug 2006 16:37
Brewers Fayre pub by Aspley wharf (with tables outside overlooking it). As you would expect, there is a high emphasis on food, but also has 1 real ale (Marstons Pedigree). Expensive for drinks. oftenscore6 - 17 Jul 2006 10:22
