Lovely Pub right next to the canal with helpful and thoughtful staff.
Cosy and warm with a mixed group of customers.
Food was excellent and superb value. Good range of ales and ciders.
Stopped in for Sunday lunch and was amazed and the quality and value for money. Definitely will return.

Easter family canal holiday dropped in to the Round Oak Inn for the night - The pub had a great canal side garden and play area for the kids. The menu was extensive and good value. Food was well cooked and presented and we were treated very well. The manager took time to talk to us as did the waitress. The owner had completed a refurbishment in November last year - the place looked fab. There was a good range of real ales and ciders. (Highly recommend the Sunbeam, Old Empire and the 49er). We even took on the regulars in a game of darts! we lost. Sports & news were shown on the TVs and the clientele were of mixed ages. The pub is spread out over a number of different levels with a Good atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much we stopped for Sunday lunch where there was a selection of four roast meats, specials and vegetarian meals. Most enjoyable. Recommended to all.

Picked The Round Oak for a trip out of Bilston with the Mrs., with the intention of having a good Sunday lunch and a few very nice beers, and even though it's clearly a very 'locals' pub, I cannot find a fault with how we were received, the food (a lunch to die for!), and the wonderful Banks Mild which went down so smoothly.
The team here are very courteous, the service is excellent, and thanks to them for a great afternoon. The view of the canal is very relaxing and the pub has a big screen for football, but is still big enough to accommodate everyone.... Wombourne has a couple of pubs listed here, but The Round Oak should definitely be on your radar if you're thinking of a pub out there for Sunday.

Wow. Have just had a fabulous evening. Called into our local grotty pub for quick drink and found that we had a new landlord, Dave Clark. What a change. The beer was in great and I met friends who had deserted the pub months ago. All the food was fresh cooked by his own chefs. Non of this microwave rubbish. It was clean and pleasant to the degree that I phoned my wife and friends and we spent the whole evening there. Weve got a new local. I could recommend it to anyone.

Pub full of youngsters these days so tends to be quite lively. Good location on the canal with nice beer garden good for the kids. Serves Banks's MILD.
