| Nipped in here a couple of weeks ago, as I was passing on a training walk (long story!) and I met an old friend outside it, her partner was inside havin' a pint so I popped in for a blether. It's a nice smallish bar, usual selection of keg beers with, on this occasion, Border Breweries Wee Beastie. As I was driving I didn't partake! | Village inn, a few miles from start/end of Pennine Way. Has reasonably-priced rooms. Had one well-kept Scottish cask ale when I visited (unfortunately I can't remember which beer it was.)
