OK for a meal and a pint at a reasonable price. Gets a bit busy, but doesnt everywhere.

A dismal experience. After a couple of hours' gentle walking, was looking forward to a pint in the village local (shown on Ordnance Survey). Arriving here, my heart sank. Three handpumps, all offering Ringwood Best; not my favourite pint, but faute de mieux... Anyway, it didn't taste right, and was too cold. If you appreciate a good pint, don't bother; if you're a harassed parent with hungry family, who drinks lager, it will be OK.

Visited the pub with my family last week while staying at the premier inn adjacent to the pub. The service was a little chaotic due to it being a little busy!! but the food was great. The usual beers on tap: Fosters, Carling, Boddingtons, John Smiths, Guiness, also strongbow.
The only guest ale was from a local brewery, Ringwood Brewery and was Ringwood best bitter, sad to say it wasn't a great pint but I think that was down to the pub management not doing their job properly.

Great to take the family for some cheep, good pub grub but not a great drinking hole.

Great for parents with kids.
Smallish ball-pit but adequate for a dozen kids.
Staff were very friendly.
