Now known as THE HOGGET.
friendly manager and staff but the pub is set up for meals only so we had to sit at the bar and had to keep moving for the waiters to get past. very clean and tidy.
BUT NOT A PUB FOR DRINKER'S.

As the landlord of The HOGGET - I can thoroughly recommend our pub as a place where you will get a friendly welcome from our lovely staff, a really nice meal, a great pint of ale or a delicious glass of wine. Our approach to running the Hogget is simple - if we were the customer, what would we want??? We look forward to seeing you. If you want more information about the pub then visit the web site at www.hogget.co.uk and feel free to email us.

According to the dictionary a hogget(t) is a sheep not a pig?? Walked in for a drink and straight out again. Set up for diners not drinkers.

We ate here as a group of 7 for a friend's birthday. Food was great and made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients; restaurant prices but excellent quality so good value for money. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They were happy to cater for complicated dietary requirements and didn't even encourage us to leave when all the other customers had gone home!
We'll definitely be going back.

Probably the best pub in Hook. That is not saying much at all though.
