My 2nd pub of the day just around the corner from the Tudor Rose and it couldn't be more different.

Externally its a very attractive pub that draws you in and grabs your attention, internally its nicely laid out with all the seating around the outside allowing easy access to the well stocked bar straight in front of you. Large windows to the front give plenty of light.

3 televisions mounted on the walls, all showing sport but all on mute, allowing the music that was being played to be heard and for conversation to be king.

Food is served and every table has a menu, sauces and cutlery on it ready for the diners.

Now to the ale, 4 hand pumps with 4 good quality ales. 2 offerings from
By the Horns I had a very good pint of Mick the Miller @ 4.0%.

Fairly busy during my visit with the landlord and all the bar staff interacting with the customers, I assume most if not all of them were locals / regulars.

The Gunmakers appears in the 2016 GBG and for me on my first visit i think its well deserved. Interesting to note that there's no fruit or quiz machines in here.

Worth a visit in my opinion.

I'm not sure I've ever ventured into this large square with a central car park (and as I remember a weekend market advertised). So I'd certainly never noticed the Gunmakers before. But its entry in the latest Good Beer Guide attracted me here. It's a large, single room place. But seating is limited and I was forced to join others on the pavement at the front. Ales were ok- London Fields Shoreditch Triangle, Harveys South Down Harvest, Sambrooks Scrumdown & Trumans Somersault. But I would have preferred a dark beer or a cider.

A narrow, off the beaten track London boozer, offering a decent selection of ales in traditional-looking surrounds. Food looked reasonably-priced for this area of London and it's ideally-placed opposite the Farmers' Market on a Sunday. Joy Division's 'Closer' album was being played unobtrusively in the background during my visit.

Had to check it out when passing. Lived up to expectations.... Very nice inside.

A pleasant looking pub, but ruined by an appallingly rude and aggressive chef. Avoid at all costs., in place since late 2013. There are better alternatives nearby .
