Used to drink here when Pedro Sphar was the guvnor. I still pop in occasionally for a game of pool and some strutting. Good jukebox.

I called into this pub on the 1st aug 2010, looking for accomadation, as i had been told by a local cab driver that they do b&b, went into the bar ordered a pint, and when the pint was delivered i asked about accomadation, and was told they dont do breakfast but a room was £52, I remarked that i thought it a bit steep for one person and no breakfast, and was told by the barman, a lad i would say in his mid twenties with gelled down black hair, and this is word for word.
"yeah well we dont want any builders slumming it here"
Now as it happens i am a self employed electrician, and was wearing jeans and a brand new t shirt, but maybe i looked like a builder, but i finished my pint and left and found a lovely place with breakfast for a tenner less, but i would propose that all builders give this place a wide berth, and that includes drinking there

tried this pub on friday night for the first time, felt relaxed and comfortable, didnt notice it to be clicky. the lager wasnt great, abit dead, tried a few that they had all tasted the same, but the Guiness and Smiths drinkers amongst our crowd were very happy with theres, i would use this pub again but maybe on the black stuff next time.

This must be the PREMIER ALE HOUSE in Stortford, good homemade food at lunchtimes, normally 6 real ales and 30+ malts, good quiz most Sundays. The only downside, The Landlord and his son are Spurs fans. (how sad is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
