| On the strength of the Good Beer guide, I visited this week and was disappointed to find this is a "gastro pub" with minimum lunch price of �16 for two courses. I did not enquire the range of cask ales. As the place was completely empty (but I was told there were some customers in the garden) it was simply not my kind of pub. | i found myself here at about 11 o'clock one summer day after a heavy night in the country. There was some true Withnail and I moments in the village but the pub was lovely and the staff very helpful. Lovely good, lovely old decor. anonymous - 6 Dec 2006 18:09 |
