| Not terrible, but nothing special either. Split into two, with the bar in the middle. We had the misfortune to sit in the front parlour on our visit; the beer was fine, and it seemed as if the locals were ok. But then they started mouthing off about golliwogs and worse. | Its definitely re-opened. It opened on 12th March 2010 and is now a Freehouse so it is well priced and can be choosy over what it sells and where it buys it. Trying not to make this an advert, but it sells: Cask Mild (Thwaites Nutty Black) which is the landlords favourite. Hawkshead Bitter and Wainwrights. Warsteiner, Carling, Thwaites Smooth, Kingstone Press Cider and Guinness. Cask Conditioned Mild at �2.10 a pint.... nutty nectar. RingoB - 28 Apr 2010 21:04 |
