user reviews of the Plough Inn, New Romney

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Hadn't been in the Plough for a while. It was a decent pub years ago but have not heard anything good for a while.

Was there last week for a wake. Bar service was ok but most cask beers were not available and those that were had not been kept well and should not have been served.

The pub provided buffet was inadequate and uninspiring. Actually it was awful. Fish paste sandwiches on cheap white bread, flakes of onion in batter (poor man's bhaji) , pieces of budget sausage on a stick and mini profiteroles from a catering pack.

They either don't know how to run a pub or don't care. Won't be going back in a hurry.

Again just popped in for a pint and sat in the beer garden for 20 mins. Bar maid was friendly and beer was ok.

An okay pub on the outskirts of New Romney high street.

The beer is reasonable, if a little over priced, and is usually served with a smile by either the landlord or one of the friendly bar staff.

The karaoke is very popular (although I personally hate karaoke!) and is usually held on a Thursday night.

The food is reasonable, if not exactly exciting, and is well-priced.

There is a nice pub garden at the rear, and plenty of parking at the front and round the side.

I would rate it as one of the top five pubs in New Romney.. Just.
