The snug bar isn't very snug or characterful and the modern extension would suit a garden centre better. So little to commend it as a building. As might be expected, my pint of Shropshire Lad was as good a pint of Wood's ale as any I have ever had. Shropshire Lass and Hopping Mad completed the line-up.

Attractive old pub, interesting display of old Royal Wedding beer bottles. Woods brewery just across the yard. Nice pint of Parish bitter for 2.40.
But-on a Saturday lunchtime-that was the only real ale on!!
How can you only have one beer on with a brewery full literally next door?
Some say the pub is not run by the family who run the brewery-if that is true it needs to change. The Plough should be the showcase for the beers-all seemed rather half -hearted to me.

A good all-round country pub, not far from the A49 north of Craven Arms, with the Woods brewery next door (and naturally Woods ales on offer in the pub). Dining area.

Gorgeous Farmhouse Pie not to be missed and not a bad pint of Wood's Hopping mad OK if you like Wood's beers. Nice food but no roast on a Sunday Lunch, a bit quiet.

Right next door to the Woods brewery which (I am told)owns the pub. A good selection of Woods ales served - at least 4. Food & service good.
